Service and product designer for rule-heavy operational systems.

I am Matthew Seungheon Nam, a service and product designer based in Seongnam, South Korea. I work on operational systems where the rules are dense and the users are busy: green building certification, emissions target management, renewable-energy field work.

The sequence is the same on each project. I learn the domain's rules before drawing anything. I sit with the people who own the process and settle the specification sentence by sentence. Then I build a working prototype with AI-assisted Figma tooling, so stakeholders and engineers review real transitions rather than a static mockup. On the renewable-energy case, that sequence took a settled specification to twelve screens and a running mobile prototype in a month.

Before KGCT I was a UI/UX designer at DND Lab, where I led design and digital content for three Samsung.com campaign launches and published twenty or more PC and mobile updates a week. I studied Environments and Digital Systems Design at Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in Social Decision Science. Native English, fluent Korean.
